Vitamin C is gradually released from the C-vitamin Béres 500 mg prolonged-release film-coated tablet, so it provides a nearly constant level of vitamin C over a longer period of time.

When do we recommend this product?

  • For the treatment of vitamin C deficiency (e.g. scurvy).
  • Vitamin C deficiency is most common in cases of malnutrition or conditions requiring increased ascorbic acid: exhaustion, loss of appetite, weakness, fatigue, springtime lethargy (spring fatigue), significant physical exertion, smoking, taking contraceptives, as well as recovery periods following illness, injury or surgery, as well as pregnancy and breast-feeding.

  • The active ingredient of C-vitamin Béres 500 mg prolonged-release film-coated tablets is ascorbic acid (vitamin C), a water-soluble vitamin with antioxidant properties.
  • Ascorbic acid is essential for many basic physiological processes (e.g., production of certain hormones, absorption of iron, formation of bones, teeth, and cartilage, wound healing, and maintaining proper capillary permeability).

Dosage:

Maximum daily dose:

1000 mg (2 prolonged-release film-coated tablets).

Not recommended for children under 14 years of age.
